Privacy information
Hermes Personal Email Agent (Alfred) is operated for private household use. This page describes its connected Google functionality.
Information accessed and used
With the account holder's authorisation, Alfred accesses email messages and attachments, email drafts, calendar lists and events, and files covered by the granted Drive permissions. It uses this information to carry out the user's requests, including finding information, preparing drafts, managing calendar entries, and reading, creating, updating, organising or moving Drive files to recoverable Trash at the user’s request. The exposed Drive tools do not provide sharing or permanent deletion.
Processing and storage
The assistant runs on the operator's computer and private cloud infrastructure. Requested content may be processed by the AI provider used for the task and included in the conversation interface used by the account holder. OAuth credentials are stored separately from the assistant's ordinary tool access. Private attachment caches and conversation records may retain content needed for tasks and troubleshooting.
Selected conversation content is retained in a protected telemetry archive for debugging and continuity; those exported content fields are encrypted. Tool metadata is also recorded. This does not mean that no personal information can appear in conversation records.
Access and control
The service is not offered as a public account-registration service. Account holders can revoke the application's access in their Google Account connections settings. Revoking access stops subsequent authorised API access but does not itself erase previously stored conversations, attachments or backups. For deletion of retained records or questions about processing, contact the operator through the same private channel used to arrange access.
Google user data is used to provide the requested assistant functionality, not for advertising or sale. The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
